Job title: Business Development Manager/Sales Executive
Location: Birmingham
The role includes:
- New clients to be sought on an ongoing basis through effective business development
- To deliver face to face client meetings to potential new business clients and agencies on a day to day basis
- Networking at potential business events
- Working towards targets on a weekly/daily basis
You will be required to have the following:
- 6 months minimum in a Sales Executive or Business Development role
- Excellent telephone manner and people skills
- Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with a professional and mature outlook
- Understanding of the Asian market place
- You must hold a clean drivers licence
Job title: Production Editor/Camera Operator
Location: Birmingham
The role includes:
- Working as an integral member of the production department of BritAsia TV as an offline and online editor
- Assembling of raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects
- Editing footage according to the brief set out by producers
- Responsible for delivering the final production to the required specifications ready for broadcast
- Working towards tight deadlines
- Camera work may also be involved
You will be required to have the following:
- A keen eye for detail and a critical mind
- Creativity
- The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
- A high level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication
- Organisation skills and self/time management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A passionate interest in film/video editing
- Highly technically skilled in order to construct the product
- Experience in appropriate editing software packages, such as Final Cut Pro
Internships
At BritAsia TV we like to offer people a chance to get into the working world. Therefore our three month internships offer students or those who have been out of work for a long time a chance to get back on their feet and gain experience in the fast paced world of television.
How it works is that we take you on for three months where you will be trained on the job with the chance of a full time position being available at the end of the internship depending on your performance.
